Indo Pak Tension

National News: On Saturday, the declaration of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan sparked a moment of hope, but the events that followed took the situation in a new and dangerous direction. The firing on the Line of Control (LOC) and the entry of Pakistani drone in the border area has rejected this question - is this ceasefire only a trick?

After the Pahalgam attack

All the situations started with a suicide attack in Pahalgam, which shook the whole country. Subsequently, India entered Pakistan under 'Operation Sindhur' and destroyed 9 terrorist bases. In response to this, Pakistan attacked India's military and civic locations with missiles and drones. However, the Indian air defense system thwarted most of the attacks in time.

Declaration and confusion

The official announcement of the ceasefire was made at around 6 pm on Saturday evening, but exactly three hours later, firing started again along the Line of Control and Pakistani drones started hovering in the sky of Jammu, Udhampur, Amritsar and Srinagar. The Indian Army immediately issued an alert and killed several drones. This situation questions the severity of the ceasefire that was presented as "expectation of peace" a few hours ago.

Stir behind the curtain of diplomacy

According to sources, Pakistan had requested the US to play a role to help in reducing tension with India. Subsequently, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire on social media. He described it as a result of American mediation. But India immediately opposed it and described it as a fully bilateral decision.

India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt and Ministry of Information clarified that "there was no role of any third country. India and Pakistan took this decision through direct communication."

Is the struggle still left?

However, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance's statement made it clear that the two countries were in touch with the US. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also thanked the US for the ceasefire, indicating that there was a major movement behind the curtain at the diplomatic level.

Will there be peace ahead?

The ceasefire has been announced, but the silence on the Line of Control is still not broken. The soldiers posted on the border are full of vigilance and there has been an atmosphere of fear again among the local people. Now the biggest question is - is this ceasefire really the beginning of permanent peace or is it preparing for a new struggle by making an excuse for peace?
