Weather Alert: Rain Begins In Delhi-NCR, Heavy Rain Forecast Across 15 States In Next 5 Hours

New Delhi: People's troubles have increased due to continuous rain. It has been raining in Delhi-NCR since this morning. The roads are flooded. People going to office are stuck in traffic. Both Delhi and Gurugram were flooded. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and storms in 15 states today. At some places there will be a wind speed of 50-60 km and at some places there may be gusts up to 70-75 km.

In which states the weather will be bad today?

UP, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, MP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha. There is a possibility of heavy rain, storm and lightning at all these places. Strong winds can cause trees to fall and wires to break. Therefore, be careful while leaving the house.

Why were the farmers alerted?

The crops standing in the fields will suffer the most damage. Crops may fall due to strong wind and rain. Hail may also fall in some areas. The fields will be flooded. Due to this, there will be intense rain in Eastern India for the next 3 days. 

There may be very heavy rain in Odisha on August 8. A new system is also being built in the south-western part of UP.

There will be intermittent heavy rain in Delhi today. The wind will blow at a speed of 20-30 km. The heat is a little less intense. Today max will be 33 degrees and min will be 28 degrees. There is a fear of waterlogging in low-lying areas. Be prepared for traffic jams if you take out your vehicle.

More than 20 districts including Ghaziabad, Noida, Meerut, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya. Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Kishanganj, Saharsa. There is a yellow alert here.

Jharkhand: Strong wind with rain in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro.
Uttarakhand-Himachal: Heavy rain in Nainital, Shimla, Kullu, Chamoli. Danger of landslides in the mountains.
