New Delhi: Ace Indian cricketer and India’s vice captain Smriti Mandhana was recently in limelight due to her wedding news with Indian music composer Palash Muchhal. Smriti made her first public appearance since her wedding with Palash has been called off.

In her recent appearance, Smriti looked calm and composed and hinted a decisive shift towards reclaiming her confidence. Smriti was speaking at the Amazon Sambhav Summit and said that game is her anchor in moments of turbulence.

What Smriti said about cricket and reclaiming confident?

Speaking at the occasion, Smriti said, “I have always been a very simple person, not complicating my life by overthinking anything. If you put a lot of work in behind the scenes, you go out to bat feeling confident about what will happen.”

What Smriti said about her motivation?

She said, “I do not think I love anything more than cricket. Wearing that Indian jersey motivates us. You set aside all your problems and focus on what matters. As a kid, the madness for batting was always there. No one understood it, but I always wanted to be called a world champion.”

She continued to add, “Winning the World Cup was the reward for the battle we fought over the years. Many times things did not go our way. We visualised the final and seeing it play out gave us goosebumps. It was a special moment for all of us.”

What she said about her personal life?

“I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families and allow us space to process and move on at our own pace,” she said.

Meanwhile, Palaash in his Instagram post, informing about his wedding called off wrote, “I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationships. It has been very difficult for me to seee people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me. It is the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding onto my beliefs.”
