Sports News: India booked their place in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025 after beating Oman by 21 runs in a tense group match. The victory kept India unbeaten in the tournament and showed their attacking T20 style and solid teamwork in a contest that turned out to be much closer than expected.

Surya’s Gesture Wins Praise

Away from the field, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav impressed with his kindness. After the match, he guided Oman’s players and gave them tips. Oman skipper Jatinder Singh shared, “Surya spoke about the game and praised us which means a lot. Our boys had questions on how to handle different stages of T20. It was great to chat with him.” Later, both sides took photos together, showing sportsmanship and mutual respect.

India’s Innings and Oman’s Fight

Batting first, India lost Shubman Gill early, but Abhishek Sharma’s 38 from 15 balls kept the scoring rate high while Sanju Samson settled in. Even with wickets falling around him, India reached 188/8 in 20 overs. Interestingly, captain Suryakumar Yadav did not bat. Oman’s reply began well, with openers Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem adding 56 runs. Hammad Mirza joined Kaleem to steady the innings, and both made fifties. But in the final overs, Hardik Pandya changed the game by taking a brilliant catch to dismiss Kaleem (64 off 46) and then removing Mirza (51 off 33). Oman finished on 167/4.
