'Since Maheika, I have been winning everything': Hardik Pandya Gets Emotional After T20 World Cup Win (X)

New Delhi: India's T20 World Cup victory celebrations turned emotional for all-rounder Hardik Pandya after he opened up about the role his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma has played in his life. And the star cricketer also shared his next 10 years plan.

And this time the celebration was double as India successfully defended their T20 World Cup title, becoming the first team ever to do so.

What did Pandya say about Mahieka?

After India defeated New Zealand in the final of the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, Hardik Pandya shared about his personal life and future goals in cricket.

How did Mahieka become the centre of attention after the win?

Soon after India lifted the trophy, several videos from the stadium went viral on social media. One of them showed Hardik Pandya celebrating with Mahieka Sharma on the field. Mahieka had been present during the match and later joined the team and Hardik on the field as players celebrated the historic victory.

What did Hardik Pandya say about his relationship?

During post-match interactions, Hardik also spoke about the important role Mahieka has played in his life.

Hardik Pandya also credited Mahieka for bringing positivity to his life.

“There is a lot of hard work. There is not only talk, but there is a lot of hard work. Work hard, stay silent, be a good person. Since Mahieka has come into my life, I have only been winning," he said.

Pandya also added that he still has many years of cricket left in him.

“This is the victory I have always lived for. This is why I have played cricket. I want to win trophies. I want to win as many trophies as I can. In 2024, I had said that whatever trophies I play for, I will win. And I believe that. This trophy is a validation of that,” said Hardik.

What is Pandya’s plan for the next 10 years?

The all-rounder said he believes he still has around ten years of cricket ahead of him.

"It sounds very good that I am a senior player now. But I have 10 more years of cricket in me. I have played only half of my career so far, half is left. I would want to win 10 more trophies in total, ICC and IPL included. But ICC trophies are the most important for me. I would want to win anything that I play. In the next 10 years, I would definitely win five or six more," Hardik said.
