According to police, the arrested woman has been identified as Vijayalakshmi, who worked at the daycare center. Recently, some extremely disturbing videos went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage. Vijayalakshmi has been identified as the main woman seen brutalizing the children in the videos.

The police have registered a case against the accused woman under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act and taken her into custody.

What is there in the video?

The entire matter came to light when CCTV footage and videos from inside the daycare were leaked online. These videos showed the horrifying treatment of innocent children, up to two years old, inside the daycare, located on Capgemini's Bengaluru campus.

• Use of washing machine: In the viral footage, the accused woman was seen forcibly putting the crying innocent children inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine.
• Jet spray on the mouth: Children were being showered with jet sprays of water directly on their mouths to silence or torture them.
• Locking up in the bathroom: If a child cried too much, he was locked alone in a dark bathroom as punishment.

Following this incident, there is widespread concern and fear among parents regarding the safety of their children in daycare centers run by corporate companies. Child rights activists and officials have taken the matter very seriously.
