In a strange robbery incident that happened in Maharashtra, burglars broke open an automated teller machine (ATM) of a nationalised bank near Palghar town in the wee hours of this morning (August 19), however, had to return empty-handed. Now, you would be thinking that the accused burglars might be caught, but thats not the case as in that ATM there was no cash available inside, said police.The robbery incident took place in Palghars Maswan village, the police said.An official of Manor police station said, “Some robbers entered an ATM kiosk of a nationalised bank around 2 am. They not only broke open the ATM box but also damaged the CCTV camera installed inside the room.”“However, they could not take anything from the ATM as there was no cash kept inside it as the machine was undergoing some repair work,” he said.Meanwhile, a case has been lodged against the accused thieves, who are yet to be identified by the police, he added.
