New Delhi: In an unprecedented move, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has announced a significant alteration to the accommodation arrangements in Ayodhya for the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Temple and the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. The Chief Minister's directive involves the cancellation of all advance bookings in hotels and Dharamshalas (rest houses) for the specified date, emphasizing that only invited guests will have access to the city on this auspicious occasion.
On January 22, when the inauguration ceremonies for the Ram Temple are scheduled, only those individuals who have received formal invitations will be permitted entry into Ayodhya. This stringent measure aims to ensure a controlled and secure environment during the momentous events. The district administration, acting on the Chief Minister's orders, has reached out to hotels, instructing them to annul all previously made reservations.
The day of the Ram Mandir inauguration is expected to witness the arrival of special invitees from across India, with projections indicating the landing of approximately 100 aircraft at the Ayodhya airport. Apart from these distinguished guests, only individuals on government duty will be allowed into Ayodhya on this particular day. This strategic restriction aims to streamline government operations and minimize potential disruptions.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed these directives during a meeting with the Ayodhya district administration. He emphasized that the Trust organizing the event should not only arrange accommodation for pilgrims but also coordinate with Dharamshalas and hotels to ensure affordable rates for the visitors.
In addition to the instructions regarding the January 22 events, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also reviewed the preparations for the anticipated visit of the Prime Minister on December 30. Stringent security measures and meticulous planning are underway to manage the influx of citizens, expected to number between one and a half to two lakh, for the public meeting on December 30.
As part of the preparations, the administration is focusing on enhancing civic facilities, providing ample parking, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic on major roads connecting Ayodhya. Given the rally proposed in the airport area on December 30, steps are being taken to accommodate visitors from surrounding districts and manage potential congestion.
Critical to the preparations is the improvement of water security along main roads and the Saryu River, ensuring a secure and comfortable environment for attendees. Additional forces, including the Special Task Force (STF) and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), will be deployed to strengthen security. The administration is also fortifying alternative routes to Ayodhya, namely Guptar Ghat and Ram Ki Paidi Marg.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ramlala and Hanumangarhi, offering prayers before inspecting the progress of the temple construction. Subsequently, he reviewed the newly constructed buildings of the airport and railway station, emphasizing the need for optimal facilities. The Chief Minister also engaged with prominent saints and sages, demonstrating the collective commitment to the success of these historic events.
