NIA Deputy SP Dies in NH Accident; Safety Concerns Rise Over Ganga Expressway Crashes (X/@imshvetank)
Moradabad: A heartbreaking incident came into light from UP's Moradabad District. On Friday, a Deputy Superitendent of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) died in a accident on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway. The accident happened nearby Katghar Police Station area. A women, acompanied by him, was also injured in the accident, when a bike hit to the container moving ahead.
According to Police,"32 years old Ishan Mehra, with his girlfriend Poonam were travelling from Delhi to Bajpur. He was passing around 11:30 PM, through Devapar Village, under Katghar Police Station. At the same time, bike collided with the container moving ahead, and both were injured. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Ishan Mehra dead on arrival. Whereas, injured Poonam undergoing treatment. SP Ranvijay Singh told that Ishan Mehra was serving as Deputy SP at the NIA Office in Delhi. Family taken over the body after the postmartem have been done. Police are further investigating the cause of incident.
The inauguration of this expressway have been done on 29th of April and within a short span of time, more than 15 big accidents recorded in which 5 people have been died and more than 25 people were critically injured.
PM Modi inaugurated the Ganga Expressway on 29 April. It was claimed that the expressway is embed with modern technologies, cameras and sensors and extraordinary invigilation facilities. But the realm is totally different as recorded very high number of continuous accidents.Right after inauguration, accidents started totaling 19 critically injured and 6 died.
