Noida: The district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar and police department have been put on alert as workers continue to remain dissatisfied with issues including wage increases. The administration is closely monitoring the salary receipt date in the first week of May.
The district administration has appointed 57 magistrates to monitor unruly elements, assigning them responsibility for various areas. The Police Commissioner, sensing the situation, has also reserved a large police force. Information is being gathered from CCTV cameras and other intelligence sources at every corner.
Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Medha Roopam stated that the government has clearly accepted the demands of workers employed in industrial units, including wage increases. Written instructions have also been issued by the government in this regard. She also said that due to the efforts of the administration, workers are returning to work in industrial units.
Additionally, health check-up camps are being set up at 25 locations to provide workers with healthcare services starting April 24. However, there is still dissatisfaction or confusion among workers regarding the wage increase.
