New Delhi: If you or any member of your family takes pension from EPFO, then this news is useful for you. Every year it is necessary to submit life certificate to continue the pension and every year as soon as November arrives, a big challenge arises in front of lakhs of pensioners and that is submitting the life certificate. If the life certificate is not submitted then the pension gets stopped. Earlier for this one had to visit the bank or post office, stand in long queues, which caused trouble to the elderly. But now you will neither have to go to the bank nor stand in any long queue. Now sitting comfortably in your home, you can get the life certificate made from your phone itself.
For this, you simply need to download the Aadhaar Face RD app and the Jeevan Pramaan app on your phone. Using the apps, you can create a digital life certificate by scanning your face with your phone's camera. No biometric device is required, and no need to leave the house. This feature is especially beneficial for seniors with worn fingerprints or those unable to leave their homes. Know the simplest way to do it...
In fact, submitting a life certificate every year is essential to continue receiving a pension. Failure to submit it on time may result in the pension being stopped. A life certificate confirms that the recipient is alive and should receive a continuation of their pension. The date of the previous life certificate should be kept in mind. Generally, the next certificate must be submitted within one year of submitting the certificate. For example, if you submitted your life certificate on September 15th of the previous year, the next certificate should be submitted by September 14th. Submissions can be made even after this date, but pension receipts may be delayed. To avoid delays in your pension, submit it on time, before the deadline of November 30, 2026.
Before submitting your life certificate, have your Aadhaar number, current mobile number, pension type, pension granting department name, pension disbursing agency name, PPO number, and pension account number ready. Please note that your Aadhaar number must be pre-registered with the pension disbursing agency. Also, ensure you have a good smartphone with at least a 5-megapixel front camera and a good internet connection.
Step 1: First, install both apps (AadhaarFaceRD and Jeevan Pramaan) on your phone. Download these apps from the Google Play Store or App Store. Note that AadhaarFaceRD works in the background; its icon is not visible on the home screen. You cannot open it directly. It works in the background and does nothing on its own. When the Jeevan Pramaan app initiates a face scan, AadhaarFaceRD will automatically activate.
