New Delhi: The way Indian offices look at work-life balance is quietly changing. Personal reasons, once wrapped in excuses, are now being shared openly. A recent leave email from an employee proves just how far that shift has come and why honesty at work is finding new respect.
The employee wrote a simple email to his manager asking for one day off on December 16. There was no medical excuse or vague reason. He clearly said his girlfriend was leaving for Uttarakhand the next day and would not return until early January. He wanted to spend time with her before she left.

The manager's response made the moment memorable. In a light, understanding tone, he wrote: “Love cannot be denied. Leave approved.”
