Heart-Stopping Paragliding Incident: Man Left Hanging For Four Hours Mid-Air, Video Goes Viral

Nancheng: A video is surfacing on different social media platforms, where a man is seen suspended from a crane 200 feet above the ground for four hours when his parachute accidentally gets entangled in it. The incident's experience was nearly fatal, leaving people stunned all over the internet.

How did the incident take place?

The pilot was enjoying his ride, and everything seemed alright until a strong gust of wind struck, which made the rider lose complete control over his parachute.
Tumbling through the air, he headed straight towards a construction site, and suddenly the parachute cord got tangled in the top of a crane. The crane was massive enough to hang him 200 feet above the ground.

The incident was so chilling that it made him believe that his survival would be impossible.

How was the man rescued?

The man was spotted by the locals around 6:15 pm. The emergency team was immediately informed for the rescue of the person. The fire brigade faced a tough task to save him because of construction debris and pits on the ground; it was nearly impossible to make him land on a safety cushion. Still, the emergency service acted quickly. They used a 236 ft long ladder to reach him, then the ropes were cut to detangle him. This took almost three to four hours to bring him back safely. The man was brought to the ground around 10 pm.

How was his condition after the incident?

After experiencing a heart-stopping incident, the man was completely exhausted. Being suspended in the air for so long, he was totally dehydrated. Although no serious injuries were caused, but his hunger, thirst and heartbeat needed to be treated. Timely treatment saved him from harm.
