Hindu New Year 2024: While the English calendar marks the start of the new year on 1 January, Hindu tradition begins its new year on the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha in the Chaitra month. In 2024, this auspicious day falls on Tuesday, 9th April, coinciding with the commencement of Chaitra Navratri. The new year heralds in three propitious Rajayogas: Sarvartha Siddhi, Gajakesari, and Amrit Siddhi.
