Royal Enfield Enters EV Space: Flying Flea C6 Deliveries Commence in Bengaluru (X/@PluginJourneys)
Bengaluru: Royal Enfield just started delivering its first electric motorcycle in Bengaluru. It's called the Flying Flea C6. This is the company's first real push into electric bikes. This blends their signature retro-inspired design language with modern zero-emission technology. Engineered as an agile urban commuter, this debut model marks the official beginning of a highly anticipated transition into sustainable mobility for the iconic manufacturer.
Flying Flea is a sub-brand under Royal Enfield. The name's based on those old military motorcycles from the 1940s. This new one mixes retro design with electric motor tech. Royal Enfield's calling it a "city+" bike, meaning it's built for city riding but can handle more.
The C6 has a 3.91kWh battery and a motor that puts out 21 horsepower and 60Nm of torque. The bike weighs just 124kg. Royal Enfield says the wheel torque adds up to over 400Nm, so acceleration is snappy. Top speed is 115kmph. Charging takes about an hour to go from 20 to 80 percent. You can use a regular 16A outlet, three charging modes available.
It's got Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G. Remote monitoring. Software updates over the air. The bike has lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, cruise control. Voice assistant, live location sharing, tip-over alerts. The display is a round touchscreen you control with a joystick. Riding mode selector is a rotary dial. Pretty straightforward.

The first batch of Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycles has just been delivered to customers in Bengaluru.
The Pricing: ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom)#RoyalEnfield #FlyingFleaC6 #ElectricMotorcycle #PluginJourneys #AutoNew pic.twitter.com/ywTRH4MI7s
One thing worth noting: the front suspension uses a forged aluminium Girder fork. That's old-school design, not something you see much anymore. Removable pillion seat, adjustable footpegs—practical stuff mixed with the retro styling.
Rs 2.79 lakh if you're buying the bike outright. Or you can do Battery-as-a-Service, that brings it down to Rs 1.99 lakh because you don't own the battery. Two colours: Storm Black and Flea Green.
Royal Enfield's set up a service network in Bengaluru. One main hub in BTM Layout for bigger work. Smaller service centres around the city for routine stuff. You can also get service at existing Royal Enfield dealerships. 24x7 roadside assistance comes with every bike.
The whole thing was built in-house. Over 200 engineers across India and the UK worked on it. They've filed 45 patent applications. Won a Red Dot Award in 2025 for design. This is Royal Enfield's first real step into electric bikes. Bengaluru's getting them first. More cities coming next.
