Dharmendra Pradhan Announces NEET Admit Card Date, Hints at Computer-Based Exam Format (X@dpradhanbjp)
New Delhi: Amidst the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held a big press conference on Friday and made several important announcements. He clearly said that the government has a “zero tolerance” policy regarding irregularities in the examination system and paper leaks and no culprit will be spared. The Education Minister assured the students and parents that the future of any hardworking student will not be allowed to spoil. During the press conference, he also gave many big hints regarding the date of re-exam, new security arrangements and the examination system of the coming years.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21. New admit cards of students will be issued by June 14. He said that the entire examination process will be made more secure and transparent than before so that there is no scope for any kind of irregularities again.

In the press conference, the education minister indicated that from next year the NEET exam can be conducted in computer-based test, i.e., CBT mode. He said that the digital examination system will prevent paper leaks and other irregularities to a great extent.

Dharmendra Pradhan said that the government is taking strict action against the examination mafia. He reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against those who play with the examination system. He also said that the investigating agencies are trying to reach the entire network.

The NEET-UG 2026 exam was held on May 3, but complaints of paper leaks and irregularities were later reported from several states. Investigation found that some of the “guess paper” questions matched those of the actual exam, following which the exam had to be cancelled. CBI is now investigating this matter.
The Education Minister said that the government keeps the hard work and future of the students above all. He appealed to the students to ignore the rumors and continue preparing for the re-examination. He said that no deserving student will be allowed to suffer loss.

The opposition is continuously attacking the government over the paper leak controversy. Congress and NSUI have demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. Protests have also taken place in many places and questions have been raised on the functioning of NTA.
At present, the eyes of the students are on the examination to be held on June 21 and the new security arrangements. The government claims that this time the examination process will be under complete surveillance and additional arrangements are being made to prevent any kind of irregularities.
