Israel strikes kill 72 since ceasefire (X/@seek_resilience)
World News: Gaza's health ministry confirmed that at least 73 people have been killed by Israeli strikes since a ceasefire deal was announced between Hamas and Israel. Among those casualties are 20 children and 25 women, while about 200 others were injured as the conflict continues to worsen despite hopes for peace.
Gazans had erupted into joy after word of a ceasefire, hoping it would bring an end to months of bloodshed. Local resident Saeed Alloush had described the first night of the announcement as "the happiest night since October 7," before bringing himself back to earth with reports of his uncle's death amidst the casualties. The transition from celebration to mourning has left the community reeling as it does not know how to deal with this violence.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces attacked a five-story building where more than 50 people were staying at the time. Ibrahim Abu al-Rish, a rescue worker on the scene, said that after the attack, chaos was seen. International medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) voiced worries about safety in Gaza, warning that "no one could yet feel safe" even after a ceasefire.
In this war, the casualties are humongous wherein, according to the Gaza health ministry, over 46,788 persons have lost their lives since hostilities began. These comprise most people as civilians which makes the already bad humanitarian situation in the area worst. For while much of Gaza lies in ruins, its pre-war population of 2.3 million spread even wider, urgent action from outside becomes ever more essential.
Humanitarian organizations as well as leaders worldwide are now shouting for immediate solutions to end such atrocities happening with the violence continued in Gaza. The situation seems to be not improved as innocent civilians continue facing the firing on both sides with an increased sense of humanitarian aids required for such affected victims in the disaster situation. This deal of a cease-fire seems just a stop-gap arrangement as proper peace does not seem to gain its hold amid such grievances complicated by both.
