'How Can You Abandon Us?': BLA Releases Video Showing Pakistani Soldiers Pleading For Help (x)
Islamabad: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a new video claiming to show captured Pakistani soldiers begging their own army for help, alleging that they have been abandoned by the army amid a self-declared deadline for a proposed prisoner exchange.
The video, shared by the Baloch Liberation Army, shows several men dressed in army uniform in distress and questioning why the Pakistan Army has not responded to their calls.
The short clip shows the uniformed men questioning for “abandoning” them, and how they could do so even as the men displays their identity card.
The uniformed men in the video identify themselves by name and unit details. One soldier holds up his Pakistan Army identity card and asks aloud why his own force has “abandoned” him.
"How can the army say that we are not their personnel? Whose card is this (showing the identity card)? It's the Army's right? They made it, right? Look at my identity card, Pakistan also issued this to me," the soldier can be heard saying while breaking down.
The man also insists that the card proves he is an army member, and pleads with officials to acknowledge them as their personnel.
Other captive says he joined the army as recently as 2025 and provides details of his division and postings.
Another man appealed to the Asim Munir-led Pakistani army to not commit the injustice of disowning them.
"I request for God's sake, my father is disabled and I am the eldest at home. Do not commit this injustice by saying that we're not your personnel. Why did you recruit me if you're going to say that we're not your personnel? Why are you saying the video is fake? (again shows his cards)," he said.
They appeal to the army leadership, saying they have families and asking why no effort has been made to secure their release.
Asim Munir abandoned his soldiers. This is the character of Pakistan’s Army, something Indians have known since the beginning. They never stand by their own men. During the Kargil War, we had to bury their soldiers with full military honors because Pakistan refused to claim them.… pic.twitter.com/nrSwG06mAE

The separatist group Baloch Liberation Army, which has been fighting against the Pakistani state in Balochistan for years, posted the video online.
The BLA has said it is holding several security personnel captive and has set a deadline for a prisoner exchange deal. It warned that those in its custody could be executed if no agreement is reached.
Earlier, the Pakistani Army spokesperson had denied that any soldiers are missing or held by the BLA, calling the group’s claims “false.”
