Shahbaz Sharif
International News: The ongoing tension between India and Pakistan has once again reached a point where the matter has gone beyond words to gunpowder. After the Pahalgam attack, India retaliated against the terrorists with Operation Sindoor Mission to give a clear message to Pakistan. In this operation, the terrorist bases in Pakistan were targeted and destroyed. About 100 terrorists were killed in this. Pakistan did not even have an idea that this time India would not limit itself to just condemnation, but would take concrete action in response.
However, despite this action, Pakistan's shamelessness is at its peak. The country whose financial condition is so bad that it has to beg for international aid every month, the same Pakistan declared the terrorists killed in India's action as martyrs and looted the treasury on them. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, while weaving a bundle of lies, said that seven people were killed in India's action, including six Pakistan Air Force personnel and one civilian.
However, India had taken action only against the terrorists. But Pakistan is busy giving them the status of 'martyrdom' by calling them soldiers. According to Pakistani media ARY News, the Pakistani government has announced financial assistance of 10 million Pakistani rupees (one crore) to their families. The injured people will also be given 1 million rupees.
This is the same money that Pakistan recently received from the IMF. The IMF gave Pakistan, which is neck deep in debt, another bailout package of $1 billion. This help from the IMF came at a time when India-Pakistan tension was at its peak. Also, Pakistan is using this money on terrorists. Not only this, even before this loan from the IMF, the Pakistan government had committed similar irresponsible acts.
Actually, this is not the first time that the Pakistan government has misused the money received from the IMF. Some time ago, when Pakistan received a loan installment, the Pakistan government had increased the salaries of its MPs and ministers tremendously. The Shahbaz Sharif government had increased the salaries of cabinet ministers, state ministers and advisors by 188 percent. According to the new salary, now a minister gets 5 lakh 19 thousand Pakistani rupees every month. This was done at a time when the common people of Pakistan are suffering from inflation, tax and unemployment.
The biggest question is that when the common man is not even able to afford petrol, electricity and roti in Pakistan, then why are the pockets of terrorists and politicians being filled? Instead of using the loan received from the IMF for the welfare of the people, it is pushing them towards further ruin. The priority of the Shahbaz government is clear. Not the common Pakistani, but the politicians in power and the terrorists who spread venom against the country.
On the other hand, it is being propagated everywhere in Islamabad that Pakistan has given a befitting reply to India. But the ground reality is that Pakistan, enraged by India's airstrike, declared the terrorists as martyrs and gave them compensation worth crores to hide its failure. That is, Pakistan makes any country that fights against India a hero, even if it is a terrorist.
This entire matter has made it clear that Pakistan is neither concerned about its people nor the economic situation. Even after getting a loan from the IMF, no relief was given to the common man, on the contrary, that money was used to fill the pockets of terrorists. This policy of Pakistan is not only going to ruin its international trust but also its future.
