Trump's fresh 'shooting will start' warning to Iran amid ceasefire; says 'Strait of Hormuz will be open and safe' (X)

Washington: Amid the ceasefire situation, US President Donald Trump has issued a significant warning to Iran on Thursday, stating that US forces will start ‘shooting’ again unless Iran complies with ceasefire. The United States said that its ships, aircraft, and military personnel will remain positioned in and around Iran until a “real agreement” is fully implemented.

What did Trump say about ceasefire?

Donald Trump in a post on Truth Social stated if the ceasefire is not observed, Iran will face a more significant attack.

The US President said that forces will remain “in place” until Iran complies with the “real” ceasefire agreement.

"All US ships, aircraft, and military personnel, with additional ammunition, weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with," in a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote.

Why is Trump warning now?

The development comes after Iran has refused to open the Strait of Hormuz and US accuses Iran of violating the ceasefire.

While warning Iran, Trump said that US military is still there and any deviation from the agreement could lead to intensified military action.

"If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the ‘Shootin’ Starts,’ bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before," he said.

Has Trump issued threats to Iran before ceasefire meeting?

Donald Trump has issued this threat just before a ceasefire meeting. According to White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt, a ceasefire meeting between Iran and the United States is scheduled for Saturday in Islamabad, Pakistan. Vice President J.D. Vance will lead the US side.

Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, is expected to lead the meeting.

Did Iran alleges ceasefire violations?

On Thursday, Iran accused the US and Israel of violating the ceasefire.

Sharing a post by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote, "The terms of the ceasefire included not attacking Lebanon, but on Wednesday, Israel committed a massacre in Beirut. The whole world is watching."

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf accused the US of violating three conditions of the ceasefire.

Ghalibaf said, "If this continues, we will not eliminate uranium." Meanwhile, Iran continues to block the Strait of Hormuz.
