No Time for Gym? Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon’s Trainer Shares a 10-Minute Fitness Fix You Can Do Anywhere (Instagram)
Mumbai: In a world where "I don't have time" has become the most convenient excuse and statement of many people, a celebrity fitness trainer Karan Sawhney, who has trained stars like Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, has stripped down the idea of exercise to its bare minimum: just 10 minutes, no gym, no equipment, no excuses.
Between office rush, traffic, family responsibilities and endless scrolling, carving out an hour for the gym often feels unrealistic. But the approach of Karan Sawhney, the co-founder of The Tribe India, is refreshingly simple, if you have 600 seconds, you can move your body.
The trainer has simple but blunt message for people. He said that check your screen time before claiming you’re too busy.
"Check your screen time right now, and you will know how really, really busy you are," Karan said, adding, “Do not tell me you don't have 10 minutes for yourself.”
The idea isn’t perfection; it’s consistency. Small efforts, done daily, compound into long-term results.
The trainer said that "Remember, everything compounds," adding that "Do this 10-minute routine with me right now... do this fitness routine wherever you are."
This routine is built as a quick, high-intensity circuit. Each move is done for 30 seconds followed by 30 seconds of rest, and the set is repeated twice.
Here’s what those 10 minutes look like:
No fancy machines, no gym membership, just your body weight and a bit of intent.
The idea of short workouts isn’t just a social media trend. Research suggests that even brief bursts of activity can improve stamina, support heart health and boost overall strength.
In fact, experts increasingly emphasise that “some movement is always better than none.” Over time, these bite-sized workouts can help build endurance and even manage lifestyle conditions like high blood pressure.
