According to experts, it is very important to protect your eyes from computer screens and mobiles. Actually, blue rays emitted from computer, laptop or mobile cause dryness in the eyes. But if some measures are taken while using any other electronic device like mobile or laptop, it can help in removing dryness of the eyes and keeping them healthy. Here are some tips you can use to prevent yourself from it.

Blink your eyes

People forget to blink while using smartphones or tablets. Staring at the screen increases the chances of dryness. Therefore, to keep them safe, try to blink your eyes occasionally and keep them rested.

Use artificial tears

Artificial tears are an effective way to keep the eyes lubricated due to eye strain, whether it is due to computer or mobile. There are many types of lubricating eye drops available in the market, which you can put in your eyes to get rid of dryness.

Use anti glare glasses

If it is your compulsion to sit in front of computer screen or mobile for a long time, then you should wear such lenses which can cut blue rays. For this, anti glare glass or blue cut lens is a good option. Due to this, instead of direct light falling on the eyes, it gets cut and passes through it.

Follow 20-20-20 rule

Eyes are very delicate. Looking at anything for too long can cause pain. In such a situation, follow the 20-20-20 rule. If you look at the screen for 20 minutes, after a while you should look at something at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds so that the eye muscles are relaxed.

Consume Vitamins

Now that you are spending most of your time on computer or mobile screens, make vitamins a priority in your diet. Some vitamins like Vitamin B-6, B-12, Vitamin E, Vitamin A are good for tear film. If there is a deficiency of these vitamins in the body, the fluid will burst and tears may dry up.

Omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids may help treat dry eyes. A study in rats found that taking the omega-3 fatty acid ALA significantly reduced the symptoms of dry eyes and also reduced the inflammation caused by dry eyes. According to experts, by consuming it, tears are produced very quickly, due to which there is no problem of dryness in the eyes.
