AAP Government in Punjab Distributes Rs 20,000 per Acre Compensation to Farmers Within 30 Days (TIN)

Mann Government: When floods wreaked havoc in Punjab and destroyed millions of acres of land and crops, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab was the first to stand with farmers and the public. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann not only immediately initiated the Girdawari (land survey) survey, but also, by disbursing compensation ahead of schedule, proved that the government doesn't just talk, but delivers.

Special Girdawari (land survey) announced

The special Girdawari (land survey) was announced on September 11, with a target of completing it within 45 days. However, the government began distributing compensation even earlier, on the 30th day. Crops were damaged in 2,508 villages in Punjab, destroying approximately 3.5 lakh acres of cultivable land. However, the state government, without delay, began distributing compensation to farmers at Rs 20,000 per acre. This is the largest and fastest relief operation ever.

Compensation funds being transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts

Despite appeals for assistance from the central government and no response, the Punjab government, using its own resources, provided additional compensation of Rs 13,200 to farmers. This demonstrates that the Punjab government does not leave farmers at the mercy of anyone. Compensation funds are being transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts, eliminating any middlemen or delays.

No family is left alone in distress

A rapid survey of damge house was also conducted. A survey of 30,806 houses was completed, and compensation for partially damaged houses was increased from Rs 6,500 to Rs 40,000. Families who lost loved ones in the floods were provided with assistance of Rs 4 lakh. Compensation for livestock and poultry losses was also finalized, ensuring that no family is left alone in distress.

Government has activated grassroots teams

This is the first time that the entire assessment and compensation distribution process has been conducted through a transparent online portal. Compensation of over Rs 5 crore was paid directly to farmers and affected families in 52 villages of the Ajnala region. The government has activated grassroots teams to ensure relief reaches every village, every farmer, and every family.

"Jiska Khet, Uski Sand" Policy

Under the "Jiska Khet, Uski Sand" policy, work is progressing rapidly to restore flood-affected land to cultivable lands. Under Mission "Chadhdikala," the Punjab government has pledged to rebuild flood-affected villages. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made it clear that Punjab's farmers will never be alone; the government stands with them every step of the way.

Compensation before Diwali

While the opposition engaged in politicizing the punjab floods, the Aam Aadmi Party government prioritized relief and rehabilitation. By providing compensation before Diwali, the government instilled a sense of confidence in farmers and demonstrated that when it comes to Punjab and Punjabiat, this government doesn't just make promises, it also delivers. This is the same spirit that makes Punjab strong standing united in times of crisis and supporting its people.
