Bihar Elections: Case filed against Prashant Kishor for alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct (AI/X/TIN)
Bihar Elections: In a major development in the Bihar elections, a case has been registered against the founder of the Jan Suraj Party, Prashant Kishor, at the Raghopur police station in Vaishali, allegedly for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
Reportedly, the case was filed after complaints that Prashant Kishor reached Raghopur with a convoy of hundreds of vehicles. The case was filed by the local Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) after Prashant Kishor started his election campaign in Bihar on Saturday.
Prashant Kishor started his election campaign from Raghopur. While starting his campaign, he also stated that he would definitely deliver a defeat to RJD leader, Tejashwi Yadav in his own constituency.
Prashant Kishor, during his rally, questioned Tejashwi’s connection with his constituents and said, “Your MLA has been Deputy Chief Minister twice. Has he ever listened to your problems?”
While speaking at the rally, he said, “It is being heard that Tejashwi Yadav may contest from two seats this time. If he is afraid, let him contest from both. But in Raghopur, his fate will be like Rahul Gandhi in 2019, when he lost Amethi while contesting from two seats.”
Prashant Kishor on a question of contesting against Tejashwi, said “The central election committee of the Jan Suraj Party will meet on Sunday. Based on the feedback from Raghopur, the most suitable candidate will be decided. It is not yet clear whether it will be me or someone else.”
