Security Collapse in Bihar Recruitment… Shocking Incident With Woman in Ambulance, Opposition Slams Law and Order

National News: A shocking lapse in security has surfaced during Bihar’s Home Guard recruitment in Gaya district. A woman candidate fainted during the physical test and was later assaulted inside an ambulance while being shifted to a hospital. The July 24 incident, which occurred at the Bihar Military Police ground in Bodh Gaya, has triggered massive outrage and questions over the safety arrangements at state-level recruitment drives

Alleged attack in ambulance

According to the police, the woman fainted during the physical endurance test. The organisers immediately sent her to the hospital in an ambulance for medical help. But the victim alleged that while she was in a semi-conscious state, the persons present in the ambulance raped her.

FIR registered, SIT and forensic team constituted

On the complaint of the woman, an FIR was lodged at Bodh Gaya police station. After this, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a forensic team were deployed to investigate the matter in depth. The police took swift action and arrested the ambulance driver Vinay Kumar and a technician Ajit Kumar. Both the suspects are currently being questioned.

CCTV footage confirmed the time 

Police officials said that the entire journey of the ambulance was monitored through CCTV cameras installed nearby. This confirmed which route the vehicle took and at what time it reached the hospital. Efforts are being made to confirm the victim's allegations through forensic investigation.

Chirag Paswan raised questions on the government

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Chirag Paswan has reacted sharply on this serious matter. He termed the law and order situation of Bihar as shameful and said that there is a serious crisis on the safety of women in the state and the working style of the police is under question.
