Delhi Police Arrest Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Over Allegations of Molestation and Fraud

Swami Chaitanyananda arrested: Delhi Police has finally arrested Swami Chaitanyananda, also known as Partha Sarathi, from Agra. Chaitanyananda is accused of sexually exploiting and defrauding 17 female students of the Sri Sharda Institute of Management in Vasant Kunj.

According to police, Chaitanyananda was hiding in an Agra hotel and was arrested around 3:30 a.m. He will be produced in a Delhi court today. Previously, Chaitanyananda had filed an anticipatory bail plea to avoid arrest, which was rejected by the Patiala House Court.

Major Action Taken Against Accused

Delhi Police stated that Chaitanyananda also claimed to be a United Nations representative. Approximately 8 crore Rs deposited in 18 accounts and 28 fixed deposits held by a trust in his name has been frozen.

In addition to sexual exploitation, the police have also registered cases of fraud using fake license plates and using religious material as a pretext.

Allegations by female students

The victim students allege that Chaitanyananda would call them to his room at night and force them into physical relations. He is also accused of installing CCTV cameras, asking obscene questions, and sending lewd messages via WhatsApp.

Some students reported that they were pressured into foreign trips, and if they resisted, their degrees were withheld, their marks were reduced, and their attendance was reduced. The FIR also names three female staff members who are accused of pressuring the students and destroying evidence.

Threats and Surveillance

One student reported that her mobile phone was taken away, she was kept in isolation in the hostel, and her every activity was monitored. She was threatened that if she resisted, her case would be exposed to influential people.
