G7 Summit 2026: PM Modi Arrives In France; Will Hold Talks With Trump

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived in Evian, France and will participate in the G7 Summit here. The Prime Minister said that he is looking forward to engaging with world leaders at the G7 Summit in Evian-les-Bains town of France.  

What did PM Modi say?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Evian, France, to participate in the G7 Summit, the final leg of his two-nation Europe tour. French President Emmanuel Macron will formally welcome PM Modi as world leaders gather for crucial discussions on global cooperation, economic challenges, and sustainable development.

Taking to X, PM Modi shared a post, stating that, "Reached Evian, France for the G7 Summit."

"Looking forward to engaging with world leaders and exchanging views on key global issues. India remains committed to advancing collective efforts for a more sustainable and prosperous planet," he added.

What about the meeting?

Prime Minister Modi will meet with leaders of G7 countries and allies to discuss key global challenges such as economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, artificial intelligence, governance, and sustainable development. 

Amid the summit's wide-ranging agenda, all eyes are on PM Modi's bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, where the two leaders are expected to discuss trade, visas, energy cooperation, and the broader strategic relationship.
