Guru Tegh Bahadur
New Delhi: On November 25, 2025, over fifty thousand devotees gathered in Anandpur Sahib to witness a one-of-a-kind spiritual presentation in the skies. The Punjab Government created history by showcasing the legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji through a meticulously choreographed drone show. More than three thousand drones painted the night sky with sacred visuals, depicting the Guru’s supreme sacrifice for religious freedom, leaving the audience emotionally moved.
The performance commenced with drones rising in synchrony to form the Khanda Sahib symbol in radiant gold. The 15-minute show recreated key moments of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life, including his deep meditation and courageous stand for justice. Scenes of his arrest at the Red Fort and symbolic visuals of chains breaking stirred profound reverence across the crowd, especially among the youth.
The Chief Minister of Punjab inaugurated the event, expressing that the initiative reflects how technology can honor heritage. He said, “Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji laid down his life to defend religious freedom for all. Today, his message of tolerance and courage reaches the world through innovation.” His remarks received loud applause from attending dignitaries and devotees.
Technical teams revealed that the drone choreography underwent intense development, ensuring every design was spiritually precise. Experts collaborated with Sikh scholars and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Careful attention was given to symbolism, visual authenticity, and respectful representation of sacred imagery to maintain spiritual sanctity during the show.
Soon after the event, photos and videos flooded social media, with hashtags trending nationwide. People from diverse communities praised the initiative as a powerful modern tribute. International media outlets reported it as a groundbreaking blend of devotion and innovation. The visual spectacle earned admiration for connecting tradition with technology.
Religious leaders appreciated the initiative’s ability to attract younger generations. Sikh scholar Baba Harjinder Singh said, “The Guru’s message is eternal, and this show demonstrates that devotion can speak through modern forms. While traditional practices remain vital, such presentations help youth engage meaningfully with heritage.”
Officials announced that the drone show will be documented and made available to educational institutions and museums worldwide. They emphasized that this initiative establishes a benchmark for how governments can celebrate religious history respectfully using digital innovation. Discussions have already begun across India for similar heritage-led technological tributes.
