National News: Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora of Darul Uloom Deoband in Saharanpur attacked renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. The Maulana said that Akhtar spent his entire life in dance and singing. He devoted his time to music and film songs. Such a person cannot be expected to understand the depth of society and traditions. The Maulana said that simply reading books does not make a person wise; broadening one's thinking is also essential.

Taliban minister welcome issue

In fact, Afghanistan's Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, recently visited Deoband. He was welcomed as a state guest. Javed Akhtar expressed his opposition to this visit on the social media platform X, writing that it was shameful that people associated with terrorists were honored. This very post infuriated the Deobandi cleric.

Maulana said, Vela Insaan

In a video viral on social media, the Maulana is seen saying that when a person becomes lazy, meaning they have no work, they start tweeting and pointing fingers at others. The Maulana added that Javed Akhtar is in a similar situation. He spent his entire life singing songs, and now wants to garner attention by speaking on politics and society.

Emphasis on India's hospitality

Maulana said that Javed Akhtar should understand that India is known for its hospitality. Welcoming foreign guests is our tradition. The Taliban Foreign Minister also visited India as a guest of the government. Therefore, questioning him amounts to criticizing government policies, which is not correct.

Madrasas open up thinking

The Maulana also said that if Javed Akhtar had spent some of his life studying in madrasas, his thinking would have been more mature and profound. Madrasa education teaches a person the difference between right and wrong. He said that writing and singing alone doesn't open the mind; true thinking comes from education and values.

Akhtar's statement on social media

Javed Akhtar wrote in his post that Deoband should be ashamed of welcoming a person who is part of a group that advocates a complete ban on girls' education. He added that the attitude of those who speak out against terrorism in India is a matter of shame. His statement sparked a major debate on social media.

Controversy and increased tension

The dispute between Javed and the Deobandi cleric has now escalated. The cleric's statements are going viral, and Akhtar's supporters are responding on social media. This issue is no longer confined to Deoband or Akhtar, but has become a topic of debate across the country. People are questioning the balance between hospitality and fundamentalism.
