National News:A few hours after the declaration of ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the incidents of drone attacks and firing from across the border once again created a diplomatic movement. At such a time, there was an important conversation between India's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, which was not only important in terms of bilateral relations, but also had special significance in the context of South Asia's security and global peace.

First high level India-China talks after Pahalgam attack

The dialogue was the first high -level conversation between India and China after the suicide attack in Pahalgam. According to China's Foreign Ministry, Doval gave Wang Yi complete information about the attack and shared the steps taken by India against terrorism. Doval clearly stated that India does not want war, but will not compromise on its security. This dialogue gave a message that India's priority is regional peace and security, but it will take a tough stand against terrorism.

Doval's clear message

Ajit Doval made it clear during this time that India does not intend to be a part of a war, because war can be dangerous not only for regional, but also global stability. He said that India's purpose is a peaceful solution and he hopes that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan will be permanent. Doval also appealed to the international community to cooperate to end this struggle during this downtic dialogue.

China's pressure and dual role

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack in this talk and supported global solidarity against terrorism. Wang Yi said that it is very important to maintain peace in South Asia, and China will help both India and Pakistan in this process. However, this is what Wang Yi, in a conversation with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, also assures Pakistan to "give full support in protecting sovereignty", which reflects China's dual role.

China's growing proximity with Pakistan

China appreciated Pakistan's restraint and said that it would remain a strategic partner of Pakistan at every level. This statement was important, as Pakistan is constantly violating ceasefire and challenging India's security. In this situation, China's support for Pakistan can become a challenge for Indian security.

New diplomatic equation between India, Pakistan and China

This diplomatic dialogue makes it clear that a new diplomatic triangle is emerging in South Asia. While India is trying to raise global support and increase solidarity against terrorism, China is strengthening its strategic relations with Pakistan. This triangle can affect global politics and regional security for a long time.

This India-China talks show that peace can be established in South Asia only through diplomacy. Although many questions arise about China's double trend, this conversation has proved that cooperation of all parties is necessary in the process of ceasefire. What will happen further in the meeting to be held in Istanbul on 15 May, it can prove to be extremely important for global politics and stability of South Asia.
