New Delhi: According to political sources, Nitish Kumar is expected to take oath on November twentieth for the tenth time as Chief Minister. He may be joined by nearly twenty ministers from five NDA parties. The decision is being shaped based on recent electoral strength. Reports indicate that the remaining ministers will be inducted after proving majority in the assembly. The NDA currently holds more than two thirds support. Officials say primary positions will be announced first to finalize core leadership.
Even though NDA has strong majority from recent results, formal floor test is planned before full cabinet formation. Leaders believe this step will avoid political risk. After successful vote of confidence, posts left vacant will be assigned. Discussions were reportedly held in Delhi with key figures from BJP and JDU. The meeting included JDU's acting president along with senior BJP strategists. The aim was to structure minister roles aligned with power sharing formula.
Sources mention that Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Patna a day before the oath ceremony. He is likely to review the list of BJP ministers personally. Dharmendra Pradhan, the party’s election in-charge, has reportedly reached Patna to support final talks. Each allied party is working on selection according to their allotted quota. Leaders wish to prevent internal dissatisfaction. Decision-making speed has increased following stable mandate results.
Reports suggest discussions also include potential Deputy Chief Ministers. Some parties have proposed representing Rajput community. It is believed that if three positions open, Chirag Paswan’s faction may gain ministerial entry. Observers think caste balance may influence final structure. Nitish aims to retain political stability ahead of future polls. Senior BJP officials are monitoring demands to ensure harmony within alliance.
There are talks that major national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, may attend the swearing-in ceremony. Local BJP organisers have claimed around three lakh people could gather. This has raised logistical concerns for arrangements. Political activity will peak on the day before oath. Separate meetings of BJP and JDU MLAs will be held earlier. Selection of legislative party leaders will confirm who leads cabinet formation.
Earlier speculation suggested thirty-five ministers may take oath together. However, current strategy focuses on twenty first to maintain staged approach. Sources say BJP and JDU may share around fourteen to sixteen seats in this first list. Remaining seats could be allocated to LJP(R), HAM and RLSP representatives. Analysts believe this phased method is being used to avoid sudden imbalance. Expansion will happen once house confidence is formally secured.
As per procedural steps, NDA legislators will gather to elect alliance leader after internal party meetings. Following this, Nitish Kumar will stake claim at Raj Bhavan to form government. From that point, formal invitation for oath ceremony will be issued. Entire planning aligns with traditional government formation model. Political observers expect smooth transition due to solid numerical backing. Final minister inclusion will depend on strategic placement post floor test.
