The third day of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida has turned out to be a major attraction, with a staggering turnout of over 350,000 visitors. The event has drawn in attendees from Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and even from other states and countries. Business owners are particularly energized by the influx of buyers, anticipating even higher attendance over the upcoming weekend as families utilize their free time to explore the exhibition.

Cultural highlights captivate visitors

A laser show and a Khadi fashion show were the main highlights of the event, leaving audiences mesmerized. The cultural performances further enriched the experience, drawing large crowds to various stalls that showcased educational, cultural, and other unique products. The event serves not only as an exhibition but also as a platform for networking, with entrepreneurs expressing enthusiasm about meeting domestic and international buyers.

Showcasing Uttar Pradesh's growth

The trade show embodies the vision of making Uttar Pradesh a “Uttam and Udyam Pradesh” (Excellent and Entrepreneurial State). The event highlights the state’s rapid industrial growth and the opportunities available for startups. Knowledge sessions focusing on sectoral policies under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision have been integral to the program, helping entrepreneurs navigate the evolving market landscape.

Economic milestones achieved

On Friday, Rakesh Sachan, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, revealed that the state's exports reached a significant $20.57 billion last fiscal year, crediting the efforts of MSMEs in both domestic and international markets. Nand Gopal Nandi, Minister of Industrial Development and Export Promotion, reiterated the commitment to transforming Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy by 2025, emphasizing the role of local artisans and the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative.

Skill development on display

The trade show also featured a live demonstration of specialized skills by talented youths, organized under the Skill Development Mission. Skill Development Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal encouraged attendees to take advantage of the resources available, emphasizing the mission's goal of equipping young individuals with modern skills to enhance their employability.
