Rahul Gandhi
National News: Many senior leaders of the country attended the OBC Bhaagidari Maha Sammelan organized by the Congress Party at Talkatora Stadium in the capital, Delhi. Many eminent leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, were present in this important meeting. On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi announced his new thinking and strategy on the issues of the OBC community.
While addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi made it clear that from now on he will make the problems of the OBC community his biggest priority. He admitted that earlier he was late in understanding the pain of the OBC community, which was his biggest political mistake. Rahul said that if he had conducted the caste census during the UPA regime itself, then today better steps could have been taken for the rights of the OBC community. He also said that it took him time to understand the issues of Dalits, tribals, and women, but now he will take forward the fight for the rights of OBCs decisively.
Rahul Gandhi termed the caste census conducted in Congress-ruled Telangana as a political storm. He said that the caste census of Telangana has revealed many facts, such as how many OBCs, Dalits, and tribals are working in various fields. Rahul said that packages worth crores in the country go only to upper castes, while the real hard work is done by OBC, Dalit, and tribal workers. He also said that this census will break the 50 percent limit of reservation and open the way for change.
Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Modi is not a big problem, but he is only a part of propaganda. The real force and problem is RSS, which is the biggest enemy of the OBC community. He directly told the OBC community that their real opponent is Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which tries to stop their rights.
Rahul Gandhi assured that after the caste census, the 50 percent limit of reservation will be automatically broken. Giving an example, he said that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has already challenged this limit, which can provide new opportunities and rights.
In this Mahasammelan, Rahul Gandhi clearly said that the fight for the rights of OBC is now his biggest priority. He urged everyone to support him in this movement. He said that the Congress Party will work at every level for the welfare of the OBC community and will empower their voice. In this way, the Congress reiterated its commitment to the OBC class and indicated it would raise this issue prominently in the upcoming elections.
