Work Pressure Claim in Suicide Note Shocks Saket Court After Employee’s Death (Open Ai)

New Delhi: A painful incident has come to light from the Saket Court complex in South Delhi. An employee committed suicide by jumping from the court building. The deceased was working in Saket Court and is said to be disabled. Police reached the spot and took possession of the body and started an investigation. A suicide note has also been recovered from the spot, in which he has explained the reason behind his action. At present no official statement has been issued by the police.

According to the suicide note, the deceased was under mental stress for a long time and was struggling with work pressure. He wrote that the burden of office work had become unbearable for him and he was unable to come out of this pressure. It has also been made clear in the note that no person is responsible for his suicide.

What was written in the suicide note?

The deceased wrote that he was 60 percent disabled. According to him, the responsibilities of the job were very difficult for him. Work pressure was continuously increasing. Ultimately he broke under this pressure.

What problems did he tell about the job?

He wrote that after becoming Ahmed, the situation worsened further. I couldn't even sleep, and my mind was constantly disturbed.  Thoughts of suicide started coming again and again.

Was he worried about retirement?

It was written in the suicide note that even early retirement was not a solution. Pension and savings are available only at the age of 60 years. Because of this, he could not see any way out.

What appealed to the system?

The deceased appealed to the High Court. He said that a soft attitude should be adopted towards disabled employees so that no one else has to take such a step in the future.

What was the reaction of the court staff?

There is anger among the Saket Court employees after the incident. Many employees staged a protest in the court premises. A demand was made from the administration to improve the working system. On the other hand, the Saket Court Bar Association expressed grief over the incident. Condolences were expressed to the family of the deceased. Also, serious concern was expressed regarding work pressure.

What are the police doing now?

Police are investigating the suicide note. The relatives and colleagues of the deceased are being interrogated. All aspects related to the case are being investigated. This incident once again raises serious questions about mental health and work pressure at workplaces. The discussion has also intensified on how sensitive the working environment is, especially for disabled employees.
