Sunita Kejriwal expresses support, call for release of other leaders from jail as Arvind Kejriwal secures bail from SC

In a significant development, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in a case linked to the excise policy. The bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan approved his bail on a bond of Rs 10 lakh and two sureties. The Court has also instructed Kejriwal to refrain from making any public comments regarding the case’s merits.

In addition to this, the top court has also put certain conditions on the release of Kejriwal on bail, saying that he shall not make any public comments and shall be present for all hearings before the trial court unless exempted.

Taking it to her official X handle, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Arvind Kejriwal expressed her happiness on Supreme Court’s order and wished for release of other jailed leaders of the party. She quoted, “Congratulations to AAP family! Kudos for staying strong. Wishing also the soonest release of our other leaders.”

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has warmly welcomed the Supreme Court's decision, labeling it as a "victory of truth." The party expressed its satisfaction with the ruling through a post on X, declaring, "Satyamev Jayate." Kejriwal's release from Tihar Jail comes as a boost to the party, especially as it gears up for upcoming elections in Delhi and Haryana.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was recently granted bail in connection with the excise policy cases by the apex court, took to X to express his support. Sisodia stated, "Today, truth won again in the fight against lies and conspiracies. I once again pay my tribute to the thinking and foresight of Baba Saheb Ambedkar ji, who 75 years ago had strengthened the common man against any future dictator."
