Sports News: In the Kerala Cricket League, Team India's star batsman Sanju Samson has caught everyone's attention with his explosive batting. Before the Asia Cup 2025, Samson has made his mark with his bat. But not only Sanju, but many such batsmen are showing amazing performance in this league, who are unknown in the eyes of common cricket fans. One such batsman has now done something that has rarely been seen before. Hitting 5-6 sixes in an over is not an easy task, but Calicut Globestars batsman Salman Nijar stunned everyone by hitting 11 sixes in 12 balls in 2 consecutive overs.

Salman's explosive innings was seen in the match between Trivandrum Royals and Calicut Globestars in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, August 30. In this match, Calicut batted first and the team's batting looked poor from the first over itself. The result was that by the 18th over, the team could score only 115 runs after losing 6 wickets. But when the last 2 overs were completed and the innings ended, Calicut's score was 186 runs for 6 wickets. That is, the team scored 71 runs in the last 2 overs.

Salman hit a flurry of sixes

The reason for Calicut's comeback was left-handed batsman Salman Nijar. Before the 19th over, Salman was playing after scoring 17 runs in 13 balls. Salman started the 19th over with a six and then hit sixes in 5 consecutive balls. After hitting 5 consecutive sixes, his eyes were on the sixth ball but he was not successful in it. However, Salman took 1 run and then returned to the strike again in the 20th over.

Salman Smashes Eleven Massive Sixes

After this, Salman hit a six on the first ball of the 20th over and completed his half-century in 20 balls. The next ball was wide and then the bowler bowled a no-ball on which Salman took 2 runs. The Trivandrum bowler had to pay the price for his poor bowling because Salman did not spare him from here and hit 5 consecutive sixes in the next 5 balls. In this way, by scoring 40 runs from the over, Salman took the team to 186 runs. Overall, this batsman stunned everyone by hitting 11 sixes in 12 legal balls of the last 2 overs.

Won with an innings of 26 balls

Salman scored an unbeaten 86 runs in his innings of just 26 balls. That is, he played this innings at a tremendous strike rate of 330.77, which included 12 sixes. He did not hit any four during this period. Salman's attack in the last 2 overs ultimately became the reason for the team's victory. Trivandrum's team could only reach 173 runs in 20 overs and thus Calicut won this match by 13 runs.
