Jaipur Wall Collapse: 3 Workers Killed, Several Feared Trapped As Rescue Operation Continues (X)

Jaipur: Atleast three workers were killed and many others were injured after a wall under construction in Chandwaji, Jaipur, collapsed on Monday. The injured workers have been admitted to the hospital and relief teams are engaged in the rescue operation. 

Where did the incident happen?

The incident occurred while construction work was underway at Aravali Palace near Tala Mod in the Chandwaji area of Rajasthan's Jaipur district. Several workers were busy working when the wall under construction collapsed on Monday. Workers nearby were buried under the debris, killing three workers present there. Several others were seriously injured. 

How many workers are affected?

According to preliminary information, the bodies of three workers have been recovered from the debris. Rescue and relief operations are currently underway. Rescue teams are clearing the debris and searching for those trapped. It has been reported that the workers affected in the accident are residents of Jharkhand and Bihar. 

The workers had gone for lunch, only 5-6 people were present at the spot. According to reports, most of the workers were not at the site at the time of the accident. Some had gone to lunch. While only about 5-6 workers were near the wall under construction. 

Upon receiving information about the incident, police, administration, and disaster relief teams established a security cordon around the area and launched a war-like rescue operation. It is feared that the death toll may rise. An investigation into the cause of the accident has also been launched.
