Rajasthan CM saga: Amid lingering uncertainty over the appointment of the Chief Minister in Rajasthan, Dushyant Singh, Member of Parliament from Jhalawar and son of former CM Vasundhara Raje, has made a significant move by visiting her residence in Civil Lines, Jaipur.

This visit comes a week after the Rajasthan Assembly election results were declared, adding to the suspense surrounding the leadership in the state.

Key BJP Figures Gather

In addition to Dushyant Singh, several BJP MLAs and leaders, including Devi Singh Bhati along with grandson and MLA Anshuman Singh Bhati, have converged at Raje's residence. The list of attending MLAs features prominent names like Ajay Singh Kilak, Babu Singh Rathore, Arjun Lal Garg, Sanjeev Beniwal, Kailash Verma, Bahadur Singh Koli, Jagat Singh, former MLA and state president Ashok Parnami, and former MLA Rajpal Singh Shekhawat.

BJP Faces Criticism

The delay in announcing the Chief Minister for Rajasthan has drawn criticism, with outgoing Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot targeting the BJP over the issue. Gehlot, in a statement made in New Delhi during a party meeting, urged the BJP to expedite the decision-making process.

BJP Responds to Gehlot's Remarks

Responding to Gehlot's comments, Union Minister Anurag Thakur stated that Ashok Gehlot's "wish" would be fulfilled on Monday, indicating that the BJP would disclose the Chief Minister selections for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Thakur also took the opportunity to criticize Gehlot's tenure, citing corruption, nepotism, and internal conflicts during his five-year rule.

Thakur emphasised the BJP's democratic decision-making process, highlighting that the party involves all MLAs in determining the leader rather than issuing top-down orders.

The political tension continues to escalate as key figures gather at Vasundhara Raje's residence, with the announcement of the Rajasthan Chief Minister expected to bring clarity to the situation on Monday.
