After the West Bengal Assembly elections, a stampede swept through the Trinamool Congress legislative party. In no time, 20 of the party's Lok Sabha MPs joined the NCP under the leadership of Kakoli Ghosh Dastikar, while four Rajya Sabha MPs resigned. The matter hadn't even settled when the Shiv Sena (UBT) erupted. Within minutes, six of the party's nine MPs expressed their desire to join the Shinde Shiv Sena.
