Vrindavan: The spiritual atmosphere in Vrindavan on Tuesday morning was elevated when former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, along with his wife and film actress Anushka Sharma, visited Premanand Maharaj for his darshan. The two arrived at the Kelikunj Ashram around 6 a.m. and listened to Premanandji's discourse for approximately an hour.

During the discourse, they sat with folded hands in reverence and, after the discourse, received blessings from Premanand Maharaj. However, their daughter, Vamika, was not seen with them.

What was Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's routine in Vrindavan?

According to reports, Virat and Anushka arrived in Vrindavan from Delhi on Tuesday evening in a Toyota Vellfire car. They stayed overnight at a hotel. They then drove a Fortuner car to the Kelikunj Ashram early Wednesday morning. People associated with the ashram reported that the couple arrived ahead of schedule and, instead of following any special arrangements, sat with the general public and listened to the discourse. After the approximately hour-long discourse, they received Premanand Maharaj's blessings and then left for Delhi.

While leaving the ashram, his car got stuck in a traffic jam. As soon as people learned that Virat Kohli was in the car, a crowd of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of him. Police officers present at the scene somehow managed to control the situation and cleared the traffic jam after about 15 minutes of effort.

What Premanand Ji Maharaj told Virat and Anushka during satsang?

During the satsang, Premananda Maharaj clarified the difference between initiation and complete surrender. He said that initiation is the first step towards complete surrender, but it is important to understand it deeply. Maharaj said that true surrender occurs when a person has complete faith in his deity and guru in thought, word, and deed. He does not, even by mistake, give anyone else the place that should be given to God and the guru.

He cited the example of Lord Krishna himself driving Arjuna's chariot in the Mahabharata. This means that Arjuna was completely surrendered. When a person surrenders completely, God himself takes control of his life and guides him from within his heart.

This spiritual journey by Virat and Anushka has become a topic of discussion. Both have previously visited Vrindavan to seek the blessings of saints. This time too, they shared a message of spiritual faith by participating in a satsang with simplicity and devotion.
