Bihar Cabinet: Maithili Thakur, Nitish Mishra Among Key Faces in Expansion Talks (X)
Patna: In Bihar, BJP leader Samrat Choudhary has been sworn in as Chief Minister. Along with him, JDU's Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. More than half a month has passed since the swearing-in of the new Chief Minister of Bihar, but the cabinet expansion in the state has not taken place. However, preparations for cabinet expansion in the state have now been completed. The cabinet expansion in Bihar is going to take place on May 7.
Following the formation of Samrat Choudhary's new government in Bihar, the cabinet expansion will take place on May 7. About 22 days after the formation of Samrat Choudhary's government, a grand cabinet expansion ceremony will be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
According to BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, former CM Nitish Kumar and many senior BJP leaders will attend the function.
Chief ministers from various states and Union ministers will also attend this event. Tight security arrangements are being made in view of the VVIP presence.
According to sources, this expansion could see several new faces enter the cabinet. There is also talk of striking a balance between ethnic and regional backgrounds and giving opportunities to leaders active in the organization.
This Bihar cabinet expansion could offer a renewed ministerial position to many old faces who served in the Nitish Kumar government. Sources indicate that the list of ministers will mostly feature old faces from the NDA's constituent parties. Some new faces from the JDU and BJP may also be included. The ministerial lists emerging from various parties include both new and old faces.
Names of potential ministers
BJP: Vijay Kumar Sinha, Mangal Pandey, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Ram Kripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Shreyasi Singh, Arun Shankar Prasad, Lakhendra Paswan, Rama Nishad, Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi, Maithili Thakur, and Surendra Mehta.
JDU: Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar, Jama Khan, Ratnesh Sada, and Jayant Raj are likely to receive ministerial positions. Among the new entrants, the names of Manjarik Mrinal, Shyam Rajak, Atirek Kumar, and Ruhel Ranjan are being discussed. There is a possibility that Sheela Kumari may also receive a ministerial position.
