The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the final date sheet for the 2025-26 Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The exams will commence on February 17, 2026. Students can access the complete schedule through the board's official website. Following the big school rules from the National Education Policy of 2020, CBSE is making a key switch for Class 10 kids from the 2026 school term.

Now, there will be two sets of board tests every year for Class 10. The timetable for these 2025-26 tests first came out on September 24, 2025. It was made using the sign-up info from Class 9 and Class 11 kids. This means it was shared 146 days before the tests begin. In fact, this heads-up is about 110 days early.

What big update is coming for Class 10 Exams?

This new setup means Class 10 students get two chances each year to take the board exams. It aims to cut down stress and let them do better if they need a redo.

When did the timetable first drop and why so soon?

As said, the first version hit on September 24, based on lower class data. The quick move is because schools got their candidate lists in early, helping everyone plan ahead without rush.

How does this early news help kids and teachers?

Putting out the dates so far in advance has real perks. The plan leaves good breaks between big test papers, so students have space to study well. Plus, moms, dads, guides, and schools can sort out holiday plans and setup stuff for the test days without last-minute hassle.

What steps fix fears about test clashes?

Schools and students worried about tests bumping into each other got a clear fix from CBSE. The group running big entry tests, called the National Testing Agency or NTA, will make kids type in their Class 11 sign-up number when signing up for the JEE Main college test. To make it easy, CBSE told all schools to hand out those Class 11 numbers to any student aiming for JEE Main. This way, no mix-ups happen between school finals and college tries.
