'India will never bow to any form of terror': PM Modi's strong message on Pahalgam Attack Anniversary (X)
New Delhi: On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday remembered the victims, stating that "they will never be forgotten" and expressed solidarity with their families. He also stated that India will never bow down to terrorism in any form nor will the heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed.
On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Modi expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the brutal incident.
Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, "Remembering the innocent lives lost in the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack on this day last year. They will never be forgotten. My thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss."
"As a nation, we stand united in grief and resolve. India will never bow to any form of terror. The heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed," the Prime Minister added.

A memorial has been built to honour those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. A black marble memorial has been erected on the banks of the Lidder River, bearing the names of the 26 victims. Security in the area has also been increased on the anniversary.
On April 22, 2025, Pakistan-backed terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 25 tourists and one local pony handler. Following the incident, India on May 7 launched 'Operation Sindoor', targeting Lashkar and Jaish terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. Now, a year later, India is once again remembering and mourning the loss of lives.
