Fire breaks out in sector 21 of Prayagraj Mahakumbh, timely action prevents major mishap

A fire incident was reported once again in Sector 21 of the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela area. As soon as authorities were informed, seven fire engines rushed to the scene. The firefighters acted swiftly and successfully brought the blaze under control.

A fire incident was reported once again in Sector 21 of the Mahakumbh Mela area. The blaze erupted at the Sangam Vihar region of Haweliya, where garbage had been dumped near a parking lot. The sudden fire created panic for a short period before emergency responders arrived.

Fire department’s quick response averts major disaster

Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire department swiftly dispatched seven fire engines to the scene. Thanks to their prompt action, the flames were successfully controlled before they could spread further. Fortunately, no casualties or significant damage were reported. The timely intervention prevented what could have been a major disaster.

Previous fire incidents at Mahakumbh mela

This is not the first time that fire incidents have occurred in the Mahakumbh Mela area. In previous instances, small fires had been reported at different locations within the mela premises. However, due to the fire department’s alertness and efficient response, major mishaps were avoided each time. Despite these challenges, the security arrangements and preparedness of the fire brigade have ensured the safety of visitors and devotees.

Authorities strengthen fire safety measures

Taking the incident seriously, the Prayagraj administration has decided to enhance fire safety precautions across the Mahakumbh Mela grounds. Plans are underway to remove garbage dumps and strengthen fire prevention strategies to avoid such occurrences in the future. The mela organizers and local authorities are closely monitoring fire-related incidents to ensure the safety of pilgrims and tourists.

According to official reports, by the 23rd day of the Mahakumbh, approximately 20.65 lakh devotees had arrived, while 30.65 lakh people had taken a holy dip.
