New Delhi: The scene on Wednesday morning in Sahibabad's Bharat City Society was such that anyone's heart would sink. The bodies of three minor sisters were lying under the building. Within a few minutes there was silence in the entire society. No one could understand what happened overnight that the three girls took such a big step together.
Initial investigation has revealed that it is a case of suicide and addiction to mobile games could be a major reason behind it.
According to the police, the three sisters had developed a habit of playing a Korean task-based gaming app. They remained busy on their mobile for hours. The family members used to explain and stop them many times. It is being said that there was a tussle in the house regarding this issue. They got angry when they were refused. It is possible that they took this dreadful decision out of anger and emotional stress.
In the morning, when people saw the crowd below the building, the real thing came to light. The three sisters jumped from the ninth floor at night. People living nearby and family members were frightened after seeing this scene. Police were immediately informed. Police have confiscated the mobile phones of all three. Call details, chats and gaming apps are being investigated. Some papers have also been found from the house, which are being considered as clues.
Father Chetan works in online trading. The family has been living here for the last three years, before that, it was in Delhi. It was said that everyone was sleeping at the time of the incident. No one had any idea that the girls would silently go towards the window and destroy everything.
There was a gap of only two years between the three. The elder one is 16 years old, the second one is 14 years old and the youngest is 12 years old. She had left her studies after the Corona period and since then started spending more time on mobile and games. This habit gradually turned into addiction.
Shalimar Garden ACP Atul Kumar Singh said that the case is being investigated from every angle. It is too early to reach any conclusion now. This incident leaves many questions. Today, the world of children is limited to the mobile screen, and sometimes the same screen also becomes a danger for them.
