The accused, identified as Rahul, reportedly assaulted the woman after she rejected his romantic advances. The timely intervention of bystanders saved the victim from grave harm.

The shocking event took place in the Salempur Gosai area of Amroha and was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media. According to police reports, the accused first knocked the young woman off her scooter and then attempted to strangle her using her dupatta. The victim, a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) student, was en route to Gajraula from her village when the attack occurred.

Sources reveal that the accused had been stalking the victim for over four years and became enraged after witnessing her interact with other men. On Saturday evening, Rahul allegedly intercepted her scooter, initially trying to engage her in conversation. When his advances were rebuffed, he launched the attack, escalating the situation into a life-threatening assault.
