'Crime and Corruption Are Two Engines of NDA,' Says Tejashwi Yadav in Fierce Attack

Speaking about the recent reported tussle between Deputy CM Vijay Sinha and Ashok Chaudhary in the NDA meeting, Tejashwi said, "Why did the fight between Vijay Sinha and Ashok Chaudhary happen in the NDA meeting? When ministers themselves are accusing each other, just imagine how much loot is happening in Bihar."

RJD leader and Bihar Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav sharply criticised the ruling NDA government in Bihar on Friday. He claimed that one part of the alliance is involved in crime while another is engaged in corruption. He also accused central investigative agencies like the CBI, ED, and Income Tax Department of targeting only opposition leaders, saying they ignore wrongdoing by those in power.

Infighting at the Top, Rampant Theft Below

Tejashwi pointed out a public clash between Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary, asking why ministers would accuse each other at a party meeting. “When ministers fight openly, think how much corruption is happening in Bihar,” he remarked. He even went further, calling the criminals “Vijay and Samrat,” a jab at the deputy CMs’ alleged involvement in crime and corruption.

Rabri Devi Raises Security Concerns

Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi, while protesting outside the Assembly over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, claimed there was a conspiracy to assassinate Tejashwi. She demanded government action and questioned the exodus of nearly four crore Bihar residents. “We have protested for five days… He has faced four attempts on his life… The ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance is responsible,” she stated.

Deputy CM Responds to Allegations

Deputy CM Vijay Sinha responded by offering security assurances and challenging the opposition. “If Tejashwi feels unsafe, let him state it in writing. He gets the protection of two former CMs but still fears. This entire state is frightened by RJD's own people,” he said, accusing them of spreading fear and hooliganism. He added, “They follow jungle raj—time to end this mentality.”

Election Pressure Builds

With the Bihar Assembly elections expected in October or November, political tensions are rising. The opposition rails against alleged misuse of investigative agencies and promises accountability, while the ruling NDA defends its record and questions opposition tactics.
