Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones for and inaugurated development projects worth ₹9,400 crore in Hyderabad. On Sunday, PM Modi inaugurated these development projects digitally from the HICC in Hyderabad. On this occasion, Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, and several other leaders were present at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister took aim at CM Revanth Reddy over allegations of corruption within the Telangana government. He stated that he is ready to provide funds to Telangana, just as he does for Gujarat; however, by the time the money reaches the state, its value gets halved. The Telangana CM was seen smiling in response to this remark by PM Modi.

Foundation Stones Laid for Which Projects?

PM Modi laid the foundation stones for several projects, including the four-laning of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar, which forms part of the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor. He also inaugurated various sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada railway multi-tracking project, a Greenfield POL (Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants) terminal in Hyderabad, the Kazipet 'Rail-over-Rail' bypass, and the PM MITRA Park (Kakatiya Mega Textile Park) in Warangal. Developed at an estimated cost of approximately ₹1,700 crore, the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park is India's first fully operational PM MITRA Park.

What Did PM Modi Say about the Nation's Progress?

Speaking in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Modi stated, "India is currently riding the 'Reform Express' and is simultaneously building modern infrastructure. The laying of foundation stones for—and the inauguration of—development projects in Telangana will create thousands of job opportunities. The progress of the nation is impossible without the development of its states." The PM added that he wishes to assure every family in Telangana that the Central Government will continue to work with even greater speed to help realize their dreams.

Was India's First PM MITRA Park Inaugurated?

The PM inaugurated India's first PM MITRA Park in Warangal, which was developed at a cost of ₹1,695.54 crore. In a statement, the Ministry of Textiles noted that this park is poised to play a pivotal role in the growth of India's textile sector. It is expected to attract investments exceeding ₹6,000 crore, and 62 percent of its land has already been allotted. According to the statement, this park—spanning 1,327 acres—is set to generate massive opportunities across the entire textile value chain. It is expected to create over 24,400 direct jobs, while thousands of jobs have already been generated.

The government has approved the establishment of one PM MITRA Park each in seven states: Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. These parks are being developed as modern, large-scale, and integrated complexes that connect the entire value chain. The PM MITRA scheme embodies the Government of India's '5F' vision: 'Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.' While inaugurating the project, the Prime Minister stated that this park in Warangal would accelerate the textile revolution in the country and create significant employment opportunities, particularly for women.
