Imran Khan Pleads To Save His Wife, Former PM Says, 'Focus Only On Bushra's Case'

New Delhi: Jailed Imran Khan has urged his lawyers to protect Bushra Bibi. On Tuesday, senior PTI leader Gauhar Ali visited Imran at Adiala Jail. During this meeting, Imran Khan made this plea. According to Imran, Bushra Bibi is ill and her condition could worsen if she does not receive timely treatment. 

The former Prime Minister of Pakistan has asked his lawyers to focus solely on Bushra Bibi's case. According to Geo News, during the meeting, Gauhar Ali also discussed recent political developments. Imran Khan said that Bushra Bibi is currently in trouble. She has an eye problem and needs treatment. The government is not paying attention to this.

Said to seek relief from the court

Imran Khan said that all lawyers should go to court and seek relief for Bushra Bibi. This case alone needs attention right now. Bushra Bibi has been in jail for a long time and is ill, but the government is not paying attention to her health.

During this time, Imran Khan declared himself healthy. He said he was aware of all developments. He was also aware of the state of emergency imposed by the central government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stated that he would not bow down to the government.

Imran Khan, through his lawyer, sent a message to his party to fight unitedly. Gauhar Ali Khan is a prominent lawyer in Pakistan and has previously served as the president of the PTI.

Imran and Bushra Bibi in jail from 2023

In 2023, first Imran Khan and then Bushra Bibi were arrested. Both have been in jail since then. Recently, Imran Khan alleged that the government was not allowing him to meet his wife in prison. The matter even reached the court. Both are currently lodged in Adiala Jail. The Pakistani government is now preparing to transfer Imran Khan to Islamabad Jail.
