According to reports, the BJP will hold a major meeting on Friday regarding the announcement of the name of the next Chief Minister of West Bengal.

The BJP has created history by winning 207 seats in the 293-member Bengal Assembly. Outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress, which had been in power for the past 15 years, won only 80 seats.

Amid intense political speculation after the West Bengal Assembly election result,  Suvendu Adhikari will be selected as the next Chief Minister of the state, according to media reports.
